Changes. That is the one word that describes the life of Joan Leslie. After many years on the mission field of Columbia, Joan and her eight year old son, Clay, return to the USA to pick up their lives. Joan’s husband, Henry, was the leader in their home in Columbia. Now Joan has to assume that leadership role. Although Clay has never been on American soil, it is he that helps his mom adjust to a whole new lifestyle. Adventures abound as they move into the run-down family homestead. Finding some trouble in the nursing home where Joan’s great aunt lives, Joan involves herself with the task of solving a mysterious disappearance. Her actions help make sure the elderly are well-treated. Joan has to pick up the pieces of her shattered life and learn to trust the Lord for her very existence.
