She holds a B.A. in Russian Language and Literature from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, and optimized lifelong Spanish language study with two summers of total immersion study at Middlebury College Language Schools in Middlebury, Vermont.

Experience
Cynthia spent seven years as an adjunct tutor at the United States Naval Academy’s Writing Center, where future naval officers learn that excellent writing skills, both academic and professional, are crucial to success.
Many USNA graduates now serving in the Fleet continue to contact her for assistance with their professional written work. She also provides writing tutelage to secondary-school students for college application essays and school assignments, to graduate students for theses and dissertations, and to non-native English speakers for academic and professional writing. Cynthia continues the privilege of working at USNA as a tour guide where she regales captive audiences about the history and lifestyle of this superior educational institution.
